When I got my first collie, I knew I had my long awaited "dream" dog. Timmy had nothing on me. No more Campbell soup can labes to fill out trying to win one of Lassie's puppies - like that was ever true - I had my very own collie puppy.
I wanted a dog so badly that my brother and sister and I, usually grouped into two-on-one combos of sibling rivalry, actually agreed to whine in unison until it happened. Then, when it finally did, I got in the car, sniffed, looked over the back seat at the pukey, smelly thing in the back seat, and said, "EWW TAKE IT BACK."

Hey Sharon --
Looking forward to seeing some of your writing on your blog!

Dog lover. Guilty as charged. I have two rescued dogs, and they are the love of my life - even when they ruin perfectly good furniture and shoes!
